Masters Wedding

So I got my first wedding announcement today. Not a wedding announcement to my family, but just to me. Fun, but strange. To think that one of my friends is getting married is exciting and kind of shocking at the same time. I'm used to older people getting married... not so much people my age. I find turning 21 to be strange. People getting married that are my age isn't young or anything, but it's just sort of crazy to have someone my age tying the knot!

I'm so excited for my friend and his fiancee! They are one of the nicest couples I've met. I hope to model them someday. They love each other and the Lord so much, it's so encouraging just to see them together. I wish I could attend the wedding, but it's in Texas right after I get back from Kazakhstan. But, thankfully they're moving back to SoCal this fall, so I'll get to hang with them sometimes.

Happy 5th of July

Yesterday was awesome. Started off with Elizabeth and I taking a drive down to Dublin to get some sparklers. There was a buy-one-get-one sale. Big smiles accompanied our ride home. Stopped at the Hull's house and chatted for a bit. Came back home and read Part One in "Arabian Nights." Talked to my friend. Good to talk before I leave.

Last night I thought it would be fun to go to the marina in Pittsburg. Caroline, Elizabeth and I headed down and sat next to the water. As we waited for it to get dark we noticed a large barge coming towards us... the firework barge! It stopped right in front of us not more than 50 yards from shore! We had the perfect seats. Amazing. We were literaly right on the water, so the reflection of the fireworks was just stunning, and the finale was right over our heads. So beautiful. I was giddy for a good 1/2 hour after we left. Probably the best 4th of July fireworks I'd seen. Came back to my house and played with sparklers for sometime, and then watched the Capital Fourth show. Went to bed around 2:30am.

First Entry

Welcome to my new blog. I will now post all my thoughts and happenings on this page instead of my old LiveJournal page. I was going through photos to use as my title banner and chose to use all jumping pictures, so I will call my blog Jump. I suppose I could try and think of some deep meaning to put behind it... you know... something cheesy, but I will refrain. Please enjoy whatever is on here. But, if you don't that's alright, too.

Happy Independence Day!

Yesterday was a fun day in San Francisco. Realized I couldn't go into the City again until August, so I decided to call up some friends to see if they wanted to go. Found out it was free day in San Francisco, so we got into the Legion of Honor AND the Modern Museum of Art for free! Woot woot! I hadn't been to the Legion in a decade, and hadn't visited the MOMA in two years, so both were a pleasure to visit. Got some awesome pictures, some of which I'll post here.

At the MOMA.

A cool reflection.
